Be transparent about pay, day-to-day expectations and benefits offered in the job ad and/or during the interview process
Have a pre-determined set of interview questions that are related to the candidates qualifications for the position, not on their personal characteristics
Assess the diversity of the current employee pool against the diversity of the county where the company is located.
If there is a homogenous employee pool, inquire into why that has happened and ways to change it.
Include a panel interview or a working interview (paid) so that you can include the perspectives of multiple interviewers
