You’re a smart, strategic business owner.
You just need some help getting your policies and procedures clearly outlined and written down.
As a business owner, your to-do list is neverending. You’ve got a team to manage, a budget to oversee, and goals to reach.
So even with the best of intentions, your employee handbook somehow ends up at the bottom of your list… never getting the attention it deserves.
But you know your team needs clear policies and directions…
Does any of this sound familiar?
Thinking about my employee handbook
(or total lack of one) makes me cringe.
My current handbook is out of date
and full of stuffy language I don’t love.
I started working on my employee handbook,
but work and life happened… and I never finished it.
Creating an employee handbook feels overwhelming
and impossible at this point.
You’re not alone. You just need a handbook co-pilot!
If you love the idea of turning over your handbook to an HR pro who understands your business, your values, and your vision – you’re right where you need to be. Let me guide you through this project and do the HR heavy-lifting so you can finally have the clear, complete, and cohesive employee handbook your business deserves.
What If Your Employee Handbook Was
Handbook Co-Pilot puts my experienced, professional HR skills to work for you. You can relax knowing that every important policy is outlined and you are accurately and legally up-to-date with current laws and regulations.
A half-finished employee handbook doesn’t help anyone! This process is streamlined to hold you accountable and make sure the entire project is finished. No more quitting in frustration mid-project – it gets done.
No more guessing what policies should be included or working from some template you found on the internet that doesn’t really relate to your unique business. Your handbook is written specifically for your business.
From one busy, motivated
small business owner to another…
I understand how valuable your time is and how much you have on your plate. That’s why I designed the Handbook Co-Pilot to be as straightforward and simple as possible!
We don’t waste time or follow an arbitrary guideline that doesn’t make sense for your unique business. We don’t skip important steps or ignore the hard work either. And we do, believe it or not, have some fun along the way.
Your employee handbook should be a flexible, living document that defines your policies and expectations, so you and your employees are on the same page and everyone is treated fairly.
Here’s How It Works
You Fill Out a Questionnaire
This is where you fill me in on the nuts and bolts of how things run in your business, like:
Which holidays you recognize
The pay schedule for your employees
Discipline policies and procedures
PTO and sick time
I’ll review your questionnaire and highlight anything that’s missing or needs to be added.
We Jump On a Kickoff Call
This introductory call is for us to go over your questionnaire and fill in any missing information. I’ll ask you some HR questions and you’ll make sure I understand exactly how things work (and where they aren’t working so well) at the moment in your business.
I Create Your Handbook
Equipped with all the information and goals from your questionnaire and kickoff call, I’ll spend the next 2 weeks creating your employee handbook. If you have a current handbook, I’ll incorporate it into the new, updated version. Once the first draft is complete, I’ll share it with you via Google Docs.
You Review and I Make Edits
Your feedback is a crucial piece of the process. Once you receive your draft handbook, you’ll go through it with a fine-tooth comb, leaving comments with any questions you have or requesting any edits or revisions. Once you’ve completed the feedback process, I’ll make all of the changes and updates and share the Word Doc and PDF with you!
You Put Your Employee Handbook to Work
Once you sign off on the final version, it’s time to share your handbook with your employees and use the heck out of this incredible resource. All your policies clearly stated in one convenient place – this is what business owner dreams are made of!
This Sounds Amazing… How Do I Get Started?
It really is pretty amazing! The Handbook Co-Pilot helps you keep your team members informed and clearly outlines your business’s expectations. This is the best way to avoid confusion, conflict, and challenges.
The Handbook Co-Pilot is a $3k investment

“Candice was incredibly warm and welcoming, immediately helping me find ways to address my concerns”
A fellow business owner recommended I reach out to Candice after I mentioned some concerns I was having with an employee. Candice was incredibly warm and welcoming, immediately helping me to find ways to address my concerns. Her answers are empathetic, thoughtful and informative.
